I can't wait to hear how your trip turned out. In all my years of travel-writing, I've shied away from cruises, but your post has piqued my curiosity!

Hi Hilary, I'll write a full post on our cruise soon (now we are back) but I have to be honest with you, it wasn't for us! If one likes all-inclusive hotel resorts and largely staying put and having limited time to explore then it's probably going to be okay. Sadly, we felt trapped and restricted (and so much up-selling on board!). We are going to stick with our more adventurous driving holidays. I can't see us ever taking a cruise again! That said, we did meet some lovely and interesting people and I didn't get glutened!

Oh, no! I don't like all-inclusive resorts, either, and because of that I've suspected cruises aren't for me. Based of what you say, I think that instinct is correct. I'm so glad that you had a safe, gluten-free trip, and I'm looking forward to reading your post. Here's to more adventurous travels next time around!

Great advice! I hope you a have a wonderful time on the cruise. I’m hoping to go on one of the “Celiac Cruises” next year with my family. I have not been on a cruise in over 10 years, but it sounds like they’ve come a long way in terms of the gluten-free food offerings!
